HarperLloyd Recruitment is a legal specialist recruitment firm working with private practice firms, and we are currently partnering with a well-regarded mid-sized law firm in Brisbane to find a Legal Assistant to support their Commercial Litigation team which covers all areas of commercial litigation work and family law.

This is a varied role supporting a Director, Associate (limited support required), overflow work and also assisting the Family Law team.

This opportunity would suit an experienced legal support professional or a law student with strong admin skills, who is available full-time and at least 2–3 years away from graduating.

The Role

Your duties will include:

• Providing proactive support to the Director and legal team
• Assisting with upcoming trial preparation
• Coordinating meetings, diary management, and general admin support
• Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
• Supporting file management and document preparation across a broad range of property transactions

About You

You will be someone with:

• Previous legal experience in legal admin, litigation and/or family law work
• Strong administrative and PA skills, including diary management and client liaison
• A proactive, organised and confident approach to your work
• The ability to communicate clearly and manage priorities effectively
• Full-time availability
• Law students are encouraged to apply if they are at least two years from graduating and can commit to a long-term position
