A high-profile Federal Government department is seeking experienced finance professionals to support strategic financial management and executive-level reporting. You'll be joining a dynamic team that plays a key role in shaping financial outcomes across the organisation.

Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will:

• Deliver financial advice, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Lead the annual budget build and monthly phasings.
• Support mid-year budget reviews and reallocation of funds.
• Prepare monthly management reports for senior executives.
• Contribute to executive board financial reporting.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and auditors.
• Assist with month-end processes including journals and prepayments.

This is a rare opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to shaping financial strategy at a national level.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in management accounting, ideally within government.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver strategic insights and drive financial value.
• Familiarity with financial systems and reporting frameworks.
• Active NV1 or NV2 security clearance.

What you'll get in return

• Competitive hourly rate: $94-$115/hr + Super.
