We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our talented culinary team at The Mill Cafe, located in the heart of Queanbeyan, NSW.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit kitchen brigade as a Full-Time Chef. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes that highlight the best of regional ingredients and deliver an outstanding dining experience for our valued guests.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing, cooking, and plating a variety of hot and cold dishes using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients
Ensuring all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation
Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Guiding and supporting junior kitchen staff to uphold kitchen excellence
What We’re Looking For
Formal culinary qualifications and minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or cafe setting
Proven ability to produce consistent, high-quality dishes and deliver excellent customer satisfaction
Strong knife skills, advanced food preparation techniques, and knowledge of multiple cooking methods
Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills
Passion for locally sourced, seasonal produce and innovative menu development
Team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
What We Offer
Competitive annual salary: $77,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience
