Clerk Grade 7/8 with a salary range of $113,574 - $125,720per annum plus superannuation and leave loading
Temporary, Full-Time role until January 2027, based in Sydney NSW, with the possibility of extension
Hybrid work environment, with 3 days in the office required per week
About the Role
In this role, you’ll partner with leaders and teams to implement practical, people-centred programs that make a real impact — including the:
Annual Flu Vaccination Program
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Workplace Adjustments Program, supporting accessibility and inclusion for all employees
You’ll also contribute to the design and delivery of the Safety and Wellbeing Strategic Plan, helping to embed a culture that values care, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Your expertise will guide recovery-at-work cases, ensuring positive outcomes for employees and compliance with all relevant legislation. With your proactive approach and sound judgment, you’ll help strengthen the Department’s commitment to wellbeing and foster a workplace where everyone feels supported and empowered.

About You
You have experience delivering workplace health, safety and wellbeing strategies, programs and initiatives within a complex organisation — and experience within, or knowledge of, the government sector will be highly regarded.
Your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills enable you to build trusted relationships across all levels, influence positive outcomes and foster a culture of care and accountability.
You have sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and contemporary best practice in workplace safety and wellbeing, supported by extensive knowledge of workers compensation and WHS legislation. You use this expertise to provide clear, practical, and compliant advice to staff and leaders alike.
As a qualified or accredited Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator (or equivalent), you bring experience managing recovery at work cases with empathy and professionalism, ensuring positive outcomes for both individuals and the organisation.
You hold tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (minimum Certificate IV in WHS) or a related field, or are willing to undertake accreditation, and can demonstrate equivalent experience in similar roles.
