The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is looking for a social media expert with experience in implementing social media strategies, creating engaging and dynamic content, and who has a flair for producing creative copy and evaluating analytics.

Reporting into the Content and Digital Engagement Lead, the Social Media Specialist will manage the department's social media channels - Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X - produce eye-catching content and copy, manage day-to-day community management, engage in critical analysis of page performance, and schedule content.

You will be required to keep up to date with social media trends and news, work across departments on social media campaigns and provide expert advice to other government departments. This role is exciting and fast paced - sharing news and updates from across the public sector and highlighting what makes South Australia a great state to work and live. Keeping a close eye on analytics, you will monitor the success of social media channels and make recommendations to improve page performance. You won't shy away from being creative with content development, creating reels, undertaking interviews and ensuring content is topical and current.

Special Conditions

The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.

The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.

Some work outside of normal hours will be required.

This role requires a National Criminal History check.

A degree in communications, marketing, or related field, and or equivalent experience.
