We're growing, and we're looking for a motivated and detail-driven Pre-Construction Coordinator – based in Newcastle West to join our team. This role will play an integral part in shaping purposeful, functional, and inspiring spaces across a wide range of projects.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager you will help shape the early stages of commercial construction projects. In this role, you'll sit comfortably between Contracts Administration and Project Management—perfect for someone ready to step into a more strategic, client-focused space. You'll play a key part in planning, coordinating with stakeholders, and preparing contracts that bring meaningful, community-driven developments to life.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and coordination of tender packages, design documentation, and early works planning.
Support the Pre-Construction Manager in scope development, cost planning, and programming.
Engage with architects, consultants, and client representatives to ensure alignment on design intent, compliance, and operational needs.
Review and interpret DA conditions, BCA compliance and sector-specific regulations.
Coordinate value engineering workshops, design reviews, and risk assessments.
Prepare and maintain preliminary budgets, procurement schedules, and risk registers.
Assist in preparing the Design and Construct Contract, including consultant agreements and scopes of work.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and sector-specific standards.
Contribute to client-side reporting, project governance, and stakeholder briefings.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Contract Administrator or in a similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ProCore and EstimateOne.
Strong creative, conceptual, and communication skills.
Ability to confidently present to and liaise with clients.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and workflows.
