My client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee an established insurance portfolio across Mackay and surrounding regions. This is a rare opportunity to manage a diverse rural and commercial book, with strong support, flexibility, and career growth in a collaborative team environment.

What will you be doing?
- Manage and grow an established portfolio of rural, SME, and commercial clients
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Identify new business opportunities and drive portfolio growth
- Negotiate with underwriting partners to secure the best outcomes for clients
- Maintain compliance requirements and manage documentation efficiently
- Collaborate with internal support teams to deliver exceptional client service
What do you need?
- Proven experience managing a commercial or SME insurance portfolio
- Farm or rural insurance knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
- Tier 1 Broking qualification (mandatory)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a book of business effectively
- High attention to detail with solid insurance technical knowledge
