We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and analysing transactions. This role supports financial operations through high-level accounting, reporting, compliance, and process improvement functions.

The Senior Accountant will also oversee junior finance staff and provide guidance on complex accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage Assistant Accountants and Accountants
• Provide financial guidance and commercial insight to support decision-making
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Manage monthly processing and reconciliations
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
• Assist with budget preparation and revenue management
• Maintain and manage Fixed Asset Registers
• Ensure compliance with quarterly BAS and annual FBT requirements
• Drive process and system improvements to increase efficiency
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support financial operations
• Perform other duties as required

About You

• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax compliance, and reporting requirements
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and timely reporting
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• CPA or CA qualification (essential)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or statutory reporting role
• Familiarity with MYOB EXO or similar ERP systems
• Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector preferred
• Exposure to system implementation or process improvement projects
