Davis Recruitment is a specialist agency for the placement of Permanent Support Staff to the Medical/Healthcare Sector.

Our Auchenflower based Orthopaedic Specialist client is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their team. Our clients offer a blend of lower limb joint replacement surgery and additional sub specialty surgical care. This role is Full-time or 4 days per week and offers free car parking onsite. Auchenflower train station is also easily accessible to this practice.The role will work closely with 1 other staff member in a 2 Surgeon Practice. We are looking for the right candidate to complement this small team.

Specifically the hours of this role are: Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm (some flexibility may be required at times). Candidates seeking a 4 day week or 9 day fortnight are encouraged to apply.

The skills we seek:

Confidence using medical software (Gentu experience highly regarded)

Previous experience in medical administration or specialist rooms (surgical preferred)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage patients with empathy and professionalism

Experience in theatre bookings (desirable)

A proactive, team-oriented approach and ability to work autonomously

This role will involve:

Managing a busy Surgeon’s diary (x 2), including coordinating patient appointments and theatre bookings

Preparing and maintaining accurate, confidential medical records and clinical correspondence

Processing payments, invoicing and managing Medicare, DVA and Insurance claims with precision

Liaising closely with the surgeon regarding patient care and clinical requirements

Maintaining efficient systems and digitised records using Gentu and Microsoft Office

Salary: Commensurate with Skills but expected in the range of $ 40-45 per hour plus Super. A car park is also provided by this employer.
