About the role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team at Wellcare Medical Centre Kingston in Kingston, QLD. This is a FT/PT role that will see you play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy medical practice.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients, and managing patient flow and appointment scheduling

Answering incoming calls and handling patient enquiries and requests in a professional and compassionate manner

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring all documentation is properly filed

Assisting with the administrative duties of the practice, including processing payments, ordering supplies, and providing general office support

Working closely with the clinical team to coordinate patient care and liaise with other healthcare providers as needed

Ensuring a high level of customer service and contributing to a positive patient experience

Processing Medicare ,Work Cover , Private payments

Clearing Debtor lists and all unpaid invoices

setting up sessions and users in Best Practice

Effective booking of Doctors and Allied Health

actioning with recalls and reminders

Familiar with using PENCAT , Primary sense , Cubiko and create financial and Benchmarking reports.

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within a healthcare setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals in a warm and professional manner

Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure

Proficient in using medical practice management software and general office software (e.g. Microsoft Office)

A friendly, empathetic, and customer-focused approach, with a genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care

A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding patient privacy
