Job Description
Hi there, thanks for stopping by. We're glad to have gotten your attention, but we'll be thrilled when you apply. We're on the hunt for a new member of our team. We're eager to find someone who is passionate about what they do, and is excited for a new journey with our fantastic firm.
About Carbon.
We’re not your average professional services firm. Carbon launched in 2014 with the goal to shake up the industry and change the level of service that small and medium business owners received. We combine all the core business services in the one place (from accounting to bookkeeping to finance to insurance and everything in between), bringing together some of the best experts in the industry so our clients can focus on doing more of what they love.
What it means to be a Carbonite.
Our Carbonites are our best asset, and we’ve grown from a small team of 13 people in a single office in Perth to over 300 Carbonites nationwide, with offices in multiple states. A key element in our plan of world domination is having the best people possible to help us along the way. This is where you come in.
As our next Carbonite, you’ll be joining a team at multiple levels. You’ll be part of a team in your office, working with other talented people such as yourself. You’ll also be joining our national ranks, meaning you can easily tap into a knowledge base for a tricky question or to bounce ideas off of for the next team activity.
Empowering our Carbonites is a big part of our mission and vision, so we focus on helping our Carbonites learn and grow, developing their careers in the direction that they want to go in.
About the role.
No professional services firm is complete without a champion tackling the very important admin work, which is why we need you. Our next administration assistant will be an all-rounder, confident to take on a range of tasks and be able to juggle multiple deadlines.
No two days will be the same, and you’ll be supporting a great team who will very much appreciate your hard work.
Job Requirements
We're looking for someone with:
- Around 2yrs experience within a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
Job Responsibilities
Your daily activities will include (but aren’t limited to):
- Reception, including answering & directing telephone calls
- Mail in/out and processing
- Client onboarding
- Collating completed client work
- Scanning/filing
- Invoicing
- Support to senior administration staff and accountants
- And other general administration and office duties.
You’ll be perfect for the role if:
- You love a bit of team banter and activities
- You want to be part of the coolest firm in Australia
- You’re keen to join a company that encourage you to define your own career path
Job Benefits
Ready to Apply?
Great, we'd love to hear from you. Keep in mind that the desired skills and experience we listed above are all important components to this role, but that doesn't mean you need to tick every box to apply! We're dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and exciting team, so even if your past experience doesn't perfectly align with everything listed but you're passionate about this role and joining our firm, apply anyways.
- Show us what you’ve got (aka send through your resume)
- Tell us why we'd be a great fit:
- Write a cover letter helping us to get to know you - bonus points if you make it stand out. Even better, mix it up and do something more creative than the traditional cover letter! (Not required, just an idea).
- Give us an insight into who you are – help us understand what motivates you, what you’re passionate about.
At Carbon, we know we’re at our best when we look out for one another; prioritise respect, fairness, development and wellbeing; foster an inclusive culture and embrace diversity in all forms. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of their background, experience, identity, ability or thinking style, and if you need assistance or an accommodation during the application process for accessibility reasons this is available upon request.
