About the role
Council is currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Information Management team as a Trainee PC & Application Support.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in IT and a willingness to learn, grow and develop practical, hands-on experience while studying towards a Certificate IV in Information Technology.
Reporting to the Coordinator Operations your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
- Managing desktop computers, laptops, and multi-function devices
- Helping with software installation, updates, and configuration
- Maintaining the IT asset register and system documentation
- Monitoring system performance and contributing to improvements
- Delivering excellent customer service and managing support requests
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Willingness to undertake a Certificate IV in Information Technology
- Basic understanding of IT hardware and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- General understanding of networks and IT terminology
- Experience in providing quality customer service
* Salary for this position is as per the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
* Candidates must be enrolled in and studying the qualification for the duration of the employment term in order to be eligible
