Accounts Receivable Officer – Contract Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join a government organisation on a 3-month contract, with an immediate start.
Standard working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role within a busy finance team, where you’ll be responsible for a broad range of accounts receivable and financial tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the debtors ledger, raising invoices and credit notes
• Debt recovery and reporting for write-offs
• Bank account reconciliations and processing rental/lease journals
• Daily banking transactions and EFT processing
• Monitoring banking activities and preparing BAS statements
• Maintaining debtor records and general ledger updates in Pathways
• Providing technical advice on GST application
• Supporting month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Assisting with financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting
• Contributing to process improvements and special projects

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in accounts receivable and credit control
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (Pathways experience is a plus)
• Solid understanding of GST, PAYG, and Australian taxation requirements
• Ability to manage time effectively and work collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
