Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and oversees the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.

About the Role:

The Project Officer role will manage project documentation, coordinate ICT delivery, and support meetings to ensure smooth project execution.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Organising, participating in and facilitating project meetings, standups, agile ceremonies, and provide secretariat support for complex/contractual meetings and follow up of action items.
  • Undertaking research and analysis and prepare advice to the Project Manager and other staff on project related matters.
  • Establishing and maintaining the project schedule and work breakdown structure including monitoring work against the baseline and report on progress status.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of the principles and processes of project and contract management, project lifecycle stages and project management software.
  • Experience in the delivery of workplace ICT services, including networking, telephony, servers, and end-user computing devices.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
