Market Manager - Part time

One of Australia's Most Outstanding Farmers' Markets has an opportunity for a dynamic Market Manager to join the team on a casual or part time basis (approx. up to 40 hours per fortnight). Our award-winning business has become an iconic Launceston destination in the 13 years since its inception.

This role requires availability for a mix of weekdays and weekends as specified in the working hours.

The preferred start date for this position is within 1 month.

What we would like from you:

· A great attitude (with a good sense of humour!)

· Proven experience in people and event management

· Volunteer management experience

· An understanding of Farmers' Markets and their importance in communities

· The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

The following skills would also be highly regarded:

· A passion for local food systems

· Data entry skills with high attention to detail

· Grant writing and Award submission experience

· RSA Certificate or willingness to get one

· First Aid Certificate or willingness to get one

· Social media and IT skills, desirable but not essential

Hours of work:

· 15-20 hours per week, flexible days and hours but will include:

9am to 1pm some Fridays when required

6am to 2pm approximately two Saturdays a month on a flexible roster basis

· Opportunity to also work from home if desired

Ideally you will be located in Launceston or close surrounds.
