Leading International Freight Forwarder seeking experienced Customer Service clerk for 4 month TEMP Contract commencing November to oversee the forwarding customer service function responsible for pool of allocated customers. To drive best practice amongst the team and provide customers with an excellent customer experience
You will have the the Ability to handle, arrange and service customers by organising import and export for both sea freight and air freight routings.
This role entails working directly alongside overseas offices, agents, internal and external stakeholders to deliver a service that exceeds customer expectations.
• Expected to build relationships with allocated customers, overseeing services provided to them.
• Ensuring customers receive timely updates from the team in a professional manner.
• Arranging all allocated customers routings for all modes of transport, including overseas and local routing as well as delivery requirements.
• Identify and resolve customer issues in timely manner.
• Develop and implement customer service processes on an individual client basis as required.
• Liaising with internal and external stake holders
• Enter data into computer system and produce data/reports as required.
• Ensure all quotations are managed and updated.
• Ensure all customer details are maintained and kept up to date.
• Additional tasks as directed by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5 years Customer service experience within the freight forwarding / supply chain & logistics industry required.
• Import & Export experience handling across both Sea freight and Air freight modes.
• A positive "can do" attitude.
• Works well under pressure in a time sensitive environment.
• Personable, energetic and communicative.
• Well organised and time efficient.
• Experience with Cargo Wise preferred but not essential.
To qualify for this role you must have local experience in International Freight Forwarding and understanding of INCO TERMS.
Salary negotiable based on your local experience
