Library Support Officer (This is a Permanent Part-time position 0.5 FTE)
We are seeking a suitably skilled individual to join our Library team to be able to support our library functions including community programs and activities, collections and outreach services including the Mobile Library service.
You will have previous experience in a library or community services environment with the ability to relate and engage with a diverse range of people and groups. Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of information technology and a high level of initiative and enthusiasm is essential.
Good communication and interpersonal skills across all ages will be critical to your success in this role. A current C class driver’s licence is required to drive both the mobile library van and home delivery vehicle.
About You/ What we are looking for in an individual
To be successful in this role you will have:
Previous experience in a library or community services environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups
Demonstrated initiative and enthusiasm in providing excellent service
Valid C class driver’s license for operating the mobile library van and home delivery vehicle
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for fostering community connections through library services
As part of Adelaide Hills Council’s Safe Environments Policy, a current Working with Children Check, and undertaking Child Safe Environment Training every three years, are requirements of the position.
A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the Council’s requirements will be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
