The Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions relating to suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, supports cash flow management, and contributes to the smooth operation of the finance team in a dynamic, regulated industry. This role supports the Finance Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level)

Experience with accounting software (MYOB, Xero, ERP or SAP)

Strong data entry skills with attention to detail

Bank reconciliation experience

Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts payable and receivable roles, preferably in a small-to-medium or regulated industry (pharmaceutical/healthcare experience advantageous).

Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant regulations.

Experience with high volume invoice processing.

Knowledge of month-end processes and accounting principle

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent).

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with an ERP or SAP system is highly desirable.

High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent).

Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent.

Relevant accounting or finance qualifications preferred.
