We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Racing, to join our executive team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be at the forefront of racing operations, animal welfare, and strategic growth—while ensuring our club continues to thrive as a hub for racing, hospitality, and community engagement.

In this role you will:

Lead marketing, social media, and engagement strategies that grow our presence on and off the track.

Champion animal welfare as a non-negotiable standard.

Bring your greyhound industry knowledge to life with innovation and strong leadership.

Oversee the annual racing program, Monday & Thursday night race meetings, and exciting community events.

Work alongside the CEO and executive team to ensure financial sustainability, racing excellence, and community connection.

Deliver and promote a high-quality racing calendar that maximises participation and turnover.

Lead and mentor Department Managers (Track, Racing, Finance & Marketing) with a focus on excellence and accountability.

Manage social media, marketing plans, and sponsorship opportunities to grow brand and community awareness.

Oversee track operations, racing administration, and trial sessions while ensuring compliance with industry and peak bodies.

Ensure the club remains financially strong through budget oversight, P&L management, funding submissions, and developing new income streams.

Actively contribute to community partnerships with Council, industry stakeholders, and local groups.

We are looking for a candidate with:

Strong, proven experience in the greyhound industry.

Marketing and social media expertise with a track record of engagement and results.

Solid financial acumen—budgeting, reporting, and operational oversight.

An energetic, outgoing, and customer-focused leadership style that inspires staff, members, and stakeholders.

A diploma in Business Management (or similar), with at least 2 years’ leadership experience in the racing sector.
