About the role

We are seeking a Leading Hand Carpenter/Concrete/Form-worker to join our skilled team at SC Concrete & Masonry in Warrnambool, VIC. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to step up into a leadership role and oversee construction projects and lead a team of tradespeople.

Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the activities of a construction crew, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner

Read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents to plan and schedule work

Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to crew members, providing guidance and support as needed

Maintain accurate records of labour, materials, and equipment used on each project

Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns

What we're looking for

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED- if your a fully qualified Carpenter with no experience running jobs, we would still love to hear from you.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant building codes and regulations

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and liaise with clients and stakeholders
