About the role

ArchiBuilt Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join our team in Geelong, Victoria. As a full-time role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality construction projects while overseeing and mentoring a team of skilled carpenters.

What you'll be doing

Providing hands-on carpentry work and leading a team of carpenters on construction sites

Overseeing the daily work activities of the carpentry team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard

Mentoring and training junior carpenters to develop their skills and abilities

Liaising with project managers, clients, and other tradespeople to ensure coordinated and collaborative working

Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols

Providing feedback and recommendations to management on improving processes and practices

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a qualified carpenter, with at least 5 years in a leading hand or supervisory role

Strong technical carpentry skills and knowledge of building materials, methods, and regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and mentor a team

A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills to address challenges on site

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to reach construction sites

A commitment to workplace health and safety
