We are seeking an experienced General Fitter to work in our finishing team. Working in our production team you will be responsible for assembling, installing and maintaining mechanical systems ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

What you’ll be doing:

Assembly and fit out of manufactured and bought in parts to heavy transport trailers.

Interpret and work from engineering drawings, layout plans, and job specifications.

Assist in preparing surfaces for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and aligning components.

Carry out drilling, grinding, cutting, and other fabrication tasks as needed.

Work closely with welders, fabricators, and engineers during assembly stages.

Support hydraulic and mechanical fitting work (e.g., hose fittings, brackets, supports).

Perform basic checks for fitment accuracy using measuring tools.

Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Report issues with materials, tools, or design specifications to the supervisor.

Assist with pressure and leak testing setups when required.

What we’re looking for:

Relevant trade qualifications

Experience with hydraulics, air and electrical systems

Ability to read and understand basic fabrication drawings.

Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic workshop machinery.

Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly and fabrication practices.

·Physically fit and able to handle heavy tools and components.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.

Awareness of workplace safety regulations and PPE usage.
