We have two openings with our industry-leading client across their business and automated control system projects. With a global portfolio of operations, we have short-term contract opportunities for Controls System Engineers to work within their Engineering team. Contracts will be based in Brisbane and site visits for commissioning on 8/6 DAY Shift or 7/7 Night Shift Rosters.

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be at the heart of our team, responsible for designing state-of-the-art control systems that enhance the efficiency and productivity of mineral processing plants.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Provide control systems support to breakdowns and production critical issues
• Improving plant capability, safety, and reliability by improving proactive maintenance systems
• Carry out and liaise with the suppliers, clients and consultants on site concerning design and commissioning of designed work.
• Provide governance on all control systems changes including risk assessment, compliance to design standards and verification
• Provide technical stewardship through a variety of minor work in the electrical and control systems space
• Competent in configuring and programming various control system platforms including PLC ( Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens) SACADA (Citect SCADA, Factory Talk View)
• Estimating, budgeting and basic document control
• Having experience in the design and configuration of associated control system networks will be highly valued.

Ideal Qualifications:

• 6 - 7 years previous experience in control systems and/ or electrical engineering, design, consultancy and/or commissioning
• Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronic or Control Systems Engineering
• Competent in configuring and programming various platforms
