As a Cloud System Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design, delivery, and optimisation of Suncorp’s multi-cloud platforms. This contract role runs through to 30 June 2026 and supports internal customers by enabling agile, scalable technology solutions in a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and enhance Suncorp’s hyperscaler platforms and orchestration capabilities to support scalable cloud solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to understand requirements and deliver secure, cost-effective cloud services
• Improve orchestration across multi-cloud environments using tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Maintain and develop internal software assets (Python/Django) that support business functions
• Identify and report operational and security risks, contributing to disaster recovery and availability planning
• Drive continuous improvement through Agile and Lean practices, knowledge sharing, and automation

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in senior Cloud/DevOps roles, managing large-scale multi-cloud environments
• Strong skills in AWS, Azure, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, CI/CD, and Django
• Ability to deliver Infrastructure as Code and deploy applications to public cloud infrastructure
• Experience with IT operations, change management, and ITIL processes in enterprise environments
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills to influence stakeholders and promote innovative solutions
• A commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and collaborative problem-solving
