The Opportunity

Are you a Senior Electrical Design Engineer ready to contribute to technically complex projects in mining and minerals processing?

Join a well-established engineering team in Brisbane, working on a steady flow of projects from feasibility studies through to detailed design and commissioning. This role gives you the opportunity to apply your expertise on minerals processing plants and bulk materials handling systems, while collaborating with an experienced, supportive team.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the detailed design and execution of electrical systems for minerals processing and bulk materials handling projects.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project objectives, technical requirements, and safety standards.

Conduct risk assessments and implement robust controls for electrical and control systems.

Provide technical input to project deliverables, maintaining thorough documentation and change control processes.

Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with experience in minerals processing or mining projects.

Minimum of 8 years experience in electrical design, including detailed design for mineral processing plants and bulk materials handling.

Proven expertise in digital engineering tools and 3D CAD modelling for complex electrical projects.

Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions for major mining clients, in line with Australian standards.

Engineers Australia CPEng or RPEQ accreditation highly regarded.

Experience with control systems, functional safety, and power distribution design advantageous.

Full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
