Our client is an established, high-quality commercial builder specialising in hospitality refurbishments (including hotels, restaurants, and gaming venues) valued between $2–5M. They're a tight-knit team with a proven track record, driven by repeat clients who rely on them to deliver their projects from ECI to handover. Now, they need a Construction Manager who can take them to the next level.

They've recently bought a new office in the inner Northern Suburbs (fifteen minutes from the CBD) and have plenty of space to grow.

This isn't a purely site-based role, it's a position that works closely with the Director and has genuine influence over the company’s future.

Their Director cut his teeth in the Tier One space and is bringing that knowledge to the team. You’ll be working alongside him to gradually and sustainably increase company turnover while maintaining their reputation for quality.

Your goals are clear:

• Lead & Mentor: Provide leadership and strategic guidance to the project management and site teams
• Systemise & Streamline: Review, overhaul, and implement new company policies and procedures to drive operational efficiency and consistency
• Drive Business: Be the face of the company for key clients. Identify, assess, and secure new tender opportunities to expand their client and subcontractor base
• Own the Delivery: Oversee the planning and delivery of multiple commercial projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and to the highest WHS standards

You'll need:

• Proven leadership experience in commercial construction management (8–10 years’ total, 5+ in a management role)
• Strong commercial acumen and demonstrable experience in securing new business through tenders and client engagement
• Deep knowledge of Queensland building codes, WHS legislation, and construction regulations
• The ability to act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders, building long-term relationships
