About your new role!
As a Sector Project Officer, you’ll support the implementation and management of sector-focused projects that improve service delivery, operational performance and outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

This is a hands-on coordination role where you’ll contribute to planning, delivery and reporting of key initiatives that strengthen the housing and community sector. Working with both internal teams and external partners, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to broader strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and supporting projects that strengthen Aboriginal housing and community outcomes
• Assisting with project documentation, planning, tracking and reporting
• Collaborating with directorates, service providers and community partners to ensure effective delivery
• Supporting process improvements that enhance organisational efficiency and stakeholder engagement
• Monitoring milestones and reporting on project outcomes and performance

About You!
We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience supporting or coordinating projects within government, housing or community services sectors
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across diverse teams
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Understanding of Aboriginal communities and culturally informed practices (highly regarded)
• Tertiary qualification in community development, social sciences, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Contract Length: ASAP start – 31 March 2026
Pay: $62/hour + Super
Hours: 7 hours/day | 35 hours/week
Location: 4 Parramatta Square | Hybrid working available (WFH flexibility)
