Senior Project Officer – HR & Change ManagementLocation: St Leonards (1 Reserve Road), NSW
Rate: $62.90 per hour + super
Hours: 35 hrs/week (7 hrs/day)

About the Role Talent Street is partnering with a NSW State Government agency to engage an experienced Senior Project Officer with strong HR expertise and change management experience. This role will support a significant organisational change initiative, working closely with the Executive Director (ED) to shape workforce design, drive effective consultation, and ensure smooth transition through change.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in HR, organisational design, and stakeholder engagement who is confident developing practical solutions and documentation to support business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Change Planning: Develop a change management plan in collaboration with HR and PSO to support workforce transition and minimise disruption.
- Workforce Design: Review and update unit and team functions to align with the future operating model.
- Position Description Development: Review and refine current role descriptions; create new position descriptions (x3) in consultation with the ED.
- Consultation Support: Prepare engaging slide packs and materials for staff and stakeholder consultation sessions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist the ED in planning, coordinating, and running consultation meetings, capturing feedback and supporting clear communication.
- Governance and Reporting: Provide governance support including preparing papers, tracking decisions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective information flow to decision-making bodies.
- Communication Materials: Draft and update communications to support staff awareness and engagement throughout the change.
About You We’re looking for a strategic and detail-focused professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting senior leadership. You will bring:
- HR expertise across workforce planning, role design, position descriptions, and organisational review.
- Change management experience, including developing and implementing change strategies in a government or large enterprise setting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and guide teams through change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation, presentations, and communications.
- Experience supporting governance processes, preparing papers, and keeping accurate records of decisions.
