The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to manage allocated property development projects to meet corporate objectives and develop the company's assets to their highest and best use, and you will be given the autonomy and support to drive projects forward.
Your key responsibilities will encompass the full development lifecycle:
- Full Lifecycle Development Management.
- Manage projects to meet program, budget, and financial targets.
- Oversee planning and implementation, including managing rezoning applications, development approvals, and consultant tenders.
- Direct all construction phase activities, from design coordination and value engineering to managing contractors and the final handover process.
- Provide key input into marketing plans and manage the preparation of sales contracts and design guidelines.
- Play a pivotal role in the company's growth by identifying property acquisition opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of joint venture and tender submissions.
- Maintain a sharp focus on maximising project returns through strategic cost savings, design changes, and marketing strategies.
- Prepare and manage accurate project budgets and up-to-date feasibility models.
- Manage and mentor specified staff as directed, fostering their professional growth.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a proven track record in property development.
You will possess:
- Management of land projects from design to completion.
- Direct involvement in a rezoning process.
- Management of a planning permit application from preparation to approval.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in property, engineering, valuations, town planning, finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Your track record should ideally include:
- You are a natural facilitator with exceptional project management, financial management, and communication skills. You have a demonstrated ability to drive consultants and contractors to achieve deadlines and budgets.
- You are a highly motivated, proactive, and reliable professional with sound business acumen and a personable nature.
