A re-alignment within the Infrastructure & Environment portfolio, to better support Council and the community has resulted in this exciting new role.
Reporting to the Manager City Assets & Capital Delivery and assisted by 3 direct reports, key responsibilities will include:
Providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in the development, coordination, and implementation of Council’s long-term asset management planning, sustainability strategies, and infrastructure investment programs.
Ensuring Council’s diverse asset base is effectively managed to meet community needs, legislative obligations, financial sustainability and strategic objectives.
Leading, coaching and developing a multidisciplinary team covering asset management, engineering and design, Geographic Information System (GIS), water and wastewater, plant and fleet functions.
Integrating technical services with long-term planning to ensure that infrastructure solutions are responsive, future-focused, and informed by accurate spatial and asset data.
Providing strategic and maintenance oversight of stormwater harvesting and irrigation operations, as well as plant and fleet lifecycle planning and maintenance to optimise performance and service delivery.
Ensuring financial oversight, contract management, stakeholder engagement, and customer service excellence, ensuring that the Council’s infrastructure and asset portfolio is sustainable, well-planned, and delivers long-term value for the community.
Qualification/s in Asset Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience will be essential.
Proven infrastructure asset management, strategic planning and managing complex asset portfolios and frameworks, along with developing capital works and maintenance programs aligned to service and financial objectives will be critical to success.
