About the Opportunity
Ventia is hiring a Facility and Assets Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of public assets under the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA). We deliver facilities management services across more than 5,000 government-owned sites, supporting 48 South Australian government agencies. Our team partners with local businesses to provide essential services to the community, operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

This full-time role sits within the health portfolio and is based at our Murray Bridge office, with scope across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) and its satellite sites. You'll be responsible for managing reactive and preventative maintenance, coordinating small projects, and ensuring the continued operation and efficiency of these essential health facilities.

Key Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities in maintenance and capital works to meet commercial goals and optimise asset lifecycle costs.
  • Lead asset maintenance planning and contribute to strategic initiatives, including Asset Business Plans and broader planning objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Analyse maintenance data (e.g., callouts, reactive works) to inform preventative schedules and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary contact for all technical, facilities, and asset management matters, overseeing contractor performance to ensure delivery meets safety, quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Support compliance through audits, inspections, and accurate record-keeping to monitor subcontractor performance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Trade background desirable, with a project management qualification or relevant industry experience.
  • A current driver's licence is required.
  • Experienced leader in facilities management, with a deep understanding of maintenance principles in a subcontracted environment.
  • Strong ability to foster and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships, supporting effective service delivery and contractual outcomes.
  • Skilled in guiding sub-contractor performance, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Highly organized with expertise in financial management, including contract oversight, reporting, and accountability.
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment checks including police check, medical questionnaire, reference checks, and WWCC.
