A re-alignment within the Infrastructure & Environment portfolio, to better support Council and the community has resulted in this exciting new role.

Reporting to the Manager City Operations & Procurement and assisted by 5 direct reports, this critical role is responsible for:

Providing strategic and operational leadership across Council’s property, leasing, cemetery, procurement, and contract management functions.

Ensuring effective use, development, and maintenance of Council-owned land, facilities, and buildings to support both community access and commercial outcomes, ensuring alignment with Council’s strategic goals.

Leading, coaching and developing a multidisciplinary team for high performance and job satisfaction.

Providing sound financial and contract management, stakeholder engagement, and customer service excellence, ensuring that the Council’s property and building assets are developed and maintained to the highest standards.

Qualification/s in Business Administration, Property Management, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience will be essential.

Experience in leading procurement and contract management processes, navigating complex contracts and legal frameworks, particularly within the context of land and property management and in compliance with public sector will be critical to success.

We are seeking a highly driven and skilled leader with a passion for excellence, outstanding attention to detail, high level computer literacy, and sound written and verbal communication skills.
