Mackay Regional Council is seeking a dedicated Financial Systems Officer to join our team in a full-time, permanent position, with a 9-day fortnight roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- User administration and access to financial functionality.
- Set up new chart account numbers and allocate tasks.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of the Chart of Accounts.
- Resolve errors and collaborate with vendors to address software performance issues.
- Assist with the comprehensive End of Year roll process.
- Utilise Technology One - CiAnywhere software system efficiently.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with the Local Government Act and Regulations, Local Government Finance Standard, as well as Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination Acts.
- Understanding of Local Government accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of Council policies, procedures, and functions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in financial system administration is highly regarded.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
- Excellent organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
