About the role

Cortez Construction Co' is seeking an experienced Limestone Block Layer / Operator to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that will involve the installation and operation of limestone block walls and structures on construction sites.

What you'll be doing

Operate and install limestone blocks to construct all forms of walls, as per civil and commercial project specifications

Operate machinery and equipment required for limestone block installation, such as skid steer, excavator, quick cut saw ect

Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting safety and quality requirements

Liaise with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities

Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Participate in regular safety training and toolbox talks

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Limestone Block Layer and Machine Operator in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of limestone block installation techniques and procedures in the civil construction industry.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings

Proficient in the use of tools required for limestone block work

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Current construction industry safety certifications (e.g. White Card)
