About the role
As a Project Coordinator – Capital Works (Permanent Full-Time), you'll play an important role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital works projects from design to post-completion. Working closely with the Principal Project Officer, you'll ensure projects are delivered efficiently and support the smooth transition of staff into new facilities. In this role, you will:
- Act as the key point of contact between project consultants, contractors, and HHS staff.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the DoH Capital Delivery Unit, eHealth, BTS, engineers, architects, and other partners.
- Support transition, commissioning, and post-project review activities to ensure successful integration of new facilities.
- Maintain accurate digital records, support lessons learned activities, and ensure compliance with WHS and quality standards.
- Promote culturally safe and inclusive practices, engaging effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.
Requirements
- Whilst not mandatory, previous experience or qualifications in project management, clinical services development and/or business process development in the public health sector is desirable.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hep B and Tuberculosis.
