Stream Healthcare is working with a not-for-profit organisation that is looking for a Foster & Kinship Care Coordinator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working within child services and with a background in care programs, coordination and leadership.

About the role:

• Provide strong leadership and direction to the team, ensuring all program functions — including carer recruitment, assessment, support, and monitoring — are delivered to a consistently high standard.
• Oversee the quality of children’s placements, ensuring they meet all licensing requirements and uphold the highest standards of care.
• Participate in a rotational on-call roster to provide responsive support and guidance to carers as needed.
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders to promote collaboration and positive outcomes for children, young people, and carers.
• Mentor and support program staff to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the needs of children and young people, with a focus on trauma, grief and loss, attachment, and child development.

What the client is looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or behavioural science, or psychology (or related discipline) and 3 years’ experience leading a team in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience at a leadership level in child protection services.
• A high degree of drive, motivation and intuitive with the capacity to think strategically and deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities.
• Ability to assist staff to provide quality service delivery when working with children and young people who have experience harm.
