Position overview
The purpose of Campus Environment is to enable world-class, safe, sustainable and inclusive campus environments through innovative operational excellence and a culture of unity that upholds the ANU’s founding mission of enduring significance. Our Division maintains and enhances the University’s physical environment, creating and maintaining sustainable, state-of-the-art facilities, landscapes and infrastructure across multiple campuses in Australia.
Located within the Environmental Sustainability team, the Project Manager, Campus Environmental Sustainability will support the implementation of sustainability projects and process improvements. This role focuses on the practical delivery of sustainability outcomes, ensuring identified improvements are implemented, integrated into processes, and quantified over time.
You will work across key environmental themes including energy, water, built environment, waste and circular economy, biodiversity, landscapes, and climate risk. The role requires strong technical expertise, project delivery skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across campus and beyond.
Open to part time availability.
About you
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented sustainability professional with:
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) in environmental sustainability, management, engineering, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience delivering sustainability initiatives and projects with measurable outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of environmental standards, frameworks and rating systems (e.g., NABERS, Green Star, ISO14001, ISO50001).
- Proven ability to analyse and report on environmental data with accuracy and insight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
