Location: Kensington, SA
Salary: $80,000 + Super
Employment Type: Full-Time (4-day week Monday–Thursday, with occasional Friday/weekend work)

Do you have a passion for kava, a love of travel, and a proven logistics or operations background?

Kingsmen Kava is on the hunt for a motivated, well organised and culturally connected Kava Logistics Manager to lead the charge in revolutionising how Australians access and enjoy kava.

About Kava & Our Mission
For thousands of years, kava has been consumed across the Pacific Islands including Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and Vanuatu as a traditional ceremonial drink and natural remedy.

Derived from the root of the Piper methysticum plant, kava is mixed with water to create a calming beverage that helps with sleep, eases anxiety and promotes relaxation.

After decades of restriction, kava has only recently been legalised for commercial sale in Australia (as of 2022) and Kingsmen Kava is proud to be leading the way in how it is distributed and enjoyed.

Who We Are
We are Australia’s first and only company selling premium grade kava through strategically placed vending machines across the country.

With our state of the art processing facility in Nadi, Fiji, we are blending traditional Pacific heritage with modern innovation to bring kava to communities across Australia.

About the Role
As Kava Logistics Manager, you will wear many hats across logistics, sales, business development and operations, all while representing a product that has deep cultural significance and rapidly growing demand.

You will oversee the national movement of stock and manage a small team of Fijian and Australian staff members to ensure vending machines and retail sites remain consistently supplied.

The role includes negotiating transport agreements, maintaining efficient delivery schedules and managing costs to protect margins.

You will also be supported to learn the basics of vending machine operation, programming and maintenance to assist with nationwide product servicing.

This role is ideal for someone practical, organised and passionate about bringing Pacific culture to life through meaningful work.

Key Responsibilities
– Oversee logistics of our kava supply chain, ensuring vending machines across Australia remain fully stocked
– Coordinate with our modern kava processing factory in Nadi, Fiji, including multiple trips per year
– Travel across Australia identifying and negotiating new vending machine locations, especially in communities with strong Islander populations
– Build partnerships with retail outlets and community hubs
– Manage office based tasks including shipping coordination, machine servicing schedules and inventory tracking

– Strong organisational and logistics skills
– Confident using Microsoft Office and database platforms
– Love of travel both domestically and internationally
– A proven background in sales, logistics or business development
– Excellent communication and relationship building skills
– Passion for Pacific Islander culture and kava
– A self starter who thrives working independently and achieving goals
– Full drivers licence required
– Forklift licence not required but beneficial
– Relevant study or training in logistics, operations or business will be viewed favourably

Why Join Kingsmen Kava
– Predominant 4-day work week (Monday to Thursday, 9-hour days) based in Kensington, SA
– Some work required from our Angle Park, SA container site
– Travel regularly to Fiji and around Australia
– Be a trailblazer in a growing industry just two years young in Australia
– Work with a culturally significant and scientifically backed product
– Be part of a company that respects and celebrates Pacific Island traditions
