We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Educator with Montessori teaching experience to join us at our Mount Waverley Campus.
If you have experience in Montessori philosophy and play-based learning and is eager to learn more about Early Childhood Education and Care, we would love to hear from you.
Key duties for the positions include?
· Planning and organising indoor and outdoor learning experiences using diverse materials and equipment to promote creativity and holistic development.
· Creating and maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment
· Leading and guiding a team of educators to implement Montessori-inspired practices
· Assisting in the design and implementation of appropriate programs and activities that support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
· Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the broader community.
· Ensuring all health, safety and centre policies are adhered to along with licensing, legislation & regulations.
· Contributing to the effective operation of the workplace by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas and information and working collaboratively in our team.
Essential Skills and Experience:
· 3 years’ experience as an ECE and experience in Montessori teaching is essential.
· Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care approved by ACECQA
· Knowledge and understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
· Current Working with Children check (WWCC), First-Aid Certificate, emergency Asthma management and Anaphylaxis training
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high-quality care
· Demonstrated ability to co-operatively contribute to and support a team environment and to work flexibly, both within rooms and according to the needs of the Centre.
· A thorough knowledge of children’s development and ability to observe, plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate children’s programs.
