About the role

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Lead Educator who can function as an Assistant Centre Manager as well to lead our small and vibrant childcare center in Ferntree Gully, VIC. As the Lead educator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the high-quality care and education of the children in our Centre, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic development of the business. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

Providing exceptional leadership and management of all Centre operations, including staff management, budgeting, and compliance with regulations

Ensuring the delivery of a stimulating and nurturing educational program that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework

Maintaining strong and excellent relationships with families and the local community to promote the center's reputation

Overseeing the training, and professional development of the childcare team

As it is a lovely small Centre, you will be taking the responsibility of educational leader as well as covering breaks as a part of the ratio.

Maintaining a safe and compliant environment for children, staff, and visitors and implementing all Child Safe Standards as a routine at the Centre.

Driving continuous improvement and innovation within the center to achieve the best rating.

Development of business and ensuring full capacity occupancy rate.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in the Lead educator role / Assistant manager role within the childcare industry

Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education (Diploma or bachelor's degree) or a related field

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of educators

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Strong understanding of National Quality Framework, EYLF, Regulations, policies, and best practices

Passion for creating an engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for children
