The Role

You’ll join our team as a Senior Building Surveyor, working on a range of high-end, design-focused Class 2–9 projects.

You’ll collaborate directly with architects, builders, and developers — offering guidance, interpreting legislation, and finding creative ways to achieve compliance without compromising design or quality.

It’s a hands-on, relationship-driven role where you’ll be part of early design conversations right through to completion. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor younger surveyors and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our internal processes and technical capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Provide detailed BCA/NCC assessments for a wide range of project types

Review designs and documentation, identifying practical, design-sensitive compliance pathways

Liaise closely with architects, engineers, builders, councils and fire consultants

Prepare clear, professional certification reports and compliance documentation

Participate in design and coordination meetings to help guide compliance early in the process

Support internal learning and mentoring of junior team members

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys the problem-solving side of building compliance. You’ll need to be organised, professional, and confident in your technical knowledge — but also open-minded and collaborative when it comes to finding creative solutions.

You’ll bring:

A degree in Building Surveying, Architecture, or Construction Management

At least 3 years’ experience working on complex Class 2–9 developments

Unregistered accreditation (preferred) or progress toward NSW registration

A strong grasp of BCA/NCC requirements and construction legislation

Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak the language of designers, builders, and developers

A professional and approachable manner, both in presentation and communication

A design-conscious mindset — able to find compliant, cost-effective solutions without compromising intent
