The Payroll/Accounts Officer is responsible for supporting the operational management of our clients daily financial activities. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the GM Shared Services, this position will contribute to enhancing the organisation’s financial performance and commercial rigor. Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll:

• Ensure the accuracy of timesheets, approvals, and classifications, collaborating with HR as necessary.
• Prepare and process fortnightly payroll for over 200 employees.
• Conduct monthly payroll reconciliations, including superannuation and STP obligations.
• Respond appropriately to employee payroll related queries.

Accounts:

• Process term and sundry invoices, and establish payment plans for families in financial hardship.
• Contribute to the improvement and automation of financial processes.
• Review and reconcile debtors ledger monthly.
• Assist with adhoc accounts payable duties as required

Skills and Abilities:

• Proven experience in payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
• Experience using XERO and Employment Hero is essential
• Strong understanding of financial compliance and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Experience working with the Child services Awards or similar for payroll.
