Due to recent workload increase Corfad are seeking an experienced Payroll/Accounts Officer on a part-time basis to assist with our Victoria weekly payroll, the successful candidate will join our existing Accounts team based at our Heatherbrae office.

The Payroll/Accounts Officer will have responsibility for all payroll aspects across the Victorian business unit. You will be a self-starter who looks for process improvement, able to work in a high volume/fast paced environment and think creatively.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Responsible for end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance to company procedures, payroll adjustments, leave reconciliations, terminations, and other associated payroll tasks.

Complete month end procedures including payment of all deductions and superannuation.

Ensure all employees are correctly setup into the company payroll system.

Assist with entering of timesheets and calculations.

Ensure payroll queries and emails are actioned and resolved in a timely manner.

A positive approach with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Other ad hoc payroll and accounts duties as directed by our Finance Manager

About you / Criteria:

1-3 years payroll experience including award interpretation (Railway/Construction), payroll tax, superannuation, terminations and leave accruals.

Experience with payroll and accounting packages such as Assignar and Xero

Well-developed computer literacy including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook

Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet strict deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Discreet and professional including the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Positive and enthusiastic disposition

The ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and random Drug & Alcohol testing.

Work is based out of our Heatherbrae office.
