About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager/Senior Technician to join the team at Bridgestone Select Tyre & Auto in West Lakes, South Australia. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop and providing expert-level technical service and repairs.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the workshop, including scheduling, workload management and team supervision

Performing complex diagnostic testing and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models

Mentoring and training junior technicians to develop their skills and expertise

Maintaining detailed records of all work undertaken and parts used

Ensuring the workshop adheres to all relevant safety and quality standards

Communicating with customers to provide updates and manage their expectations

Liaising with suppliers to order parts and equipment as required

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years experience as a qualified automotive technician, with a proven track record of successfully managing a workshop

In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of faults

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly

Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Automotive Technology

A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing high-quality service
