Income and benefits
PO1: $68,478 (4 year degree) - $83,594 p.a. + 12% super
PO2: $88,255 - $97,667 p.a. + 12% super
In this role, you will:
Undertake child-focused casework and deliver quality case management services.
Conduct assessments and investigations to ensure children's safety and wellbeing.
Support families to strengthen parenting capacity and achieve reunification where possible.
Work in partnership with communities, kin and specialists to deliver effective interventions.
(At PO2 level, you will also demonstrate greater independence, provide mentoring, and apply advanced social work knowledge to complex cases.)

At PO1, you are passionate about supporting children and families and eager to build your career in child protection. You bring knowledge of child development, resilience and vulnerability, and you are committed to learning how to apply legislation, policy and case management frameworks. You thrive in a team environment, where collaboration and support help you grow.
At PO2, you bring proven expertise, independence and advanced social work knowledge. You are confident in managing complex cases, applying theory to practice, and mentoring others. You demonstrate strong judgement, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and you lead by example in promoting reflective practice and culturally responsive services.
