We utilise the latest in repair equipment and spray-paint technology and are now seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our thriving team as we embark on an exciting period of growth and operational improvement.
Our location, on the Northern Expressway side of Gawler, is ideal for candidates based in Adelaide's north or surrounds.
The Opportunity
We're on the hunt for a hands-on leader with a solid trade background and strong workshop operations experience. This role is crucial to the streamlining, growth and continuous improvement of our business. You'll be responsible for ensuring daily workshop operations run smoothly, customer expectations are met, and our team is supported and motivated to deliver high-quality results β every time.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day workshop activities and ensure jobs are completed on time, to standard, and on budget.
Team Leadership: Motivate, lead, and support a high-performing team. Coach and mentor staff to achieve personal and professional growth.
Workflow & Project Management: Schedule work, allocate resources, and oversee repairs from start to finish.
Process Improvement & Reporting : Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and safety practices.
Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels and ensure timely procurement of materials.
Customer Satisfaction: Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure expectations are met with professionalism and care.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Trade Qualified (Panel Beater or Spray Painter preferred)
Minimum 10 years' experience in similar role
Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage teams of various sizes
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency with job management software (e.g. iBodyshop) and computer systems
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high standards
High attention to detail and a no-compromise approach to safety and quality
Experience in change management and continuous improvement processes
