About the role
As Finance Officer, you'll provide essential support to the Management Accountant and Finance Director, contributing to accurate financial management and reporting that underpins quality health services. Your role ensures compliance, governance, and timely financial insights to drive informed decision-making across the health service. In this role you will:
- Assist with day-to-day budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Support the annual budget process and periodic reviews of the financial position.
- Work with the finance team to ensure integrity of accounts and accurate reporting.
- Monitor and advise on expenditure variations, providing solutions to meet targets.
- Extract, analyse, and present financial data for managers and executives.
- Contribute to improvements in billing, revenue, and internal processes.
- Support quality improvement, compliance, and culturally responsive care.
Requirements
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- A current ‘C' Class driver's licence is essential.
