The Company:
Inclusive Support Service provides in-home support, community access and concierge services to individuals living with a disability. The Role:
We are expanding our management team to oversee the care needs of participants and support staff in the Greater Brisbane area.
Our people are the key to achieving our goals and being successful. The purpose of this role is to aid with developing and maintaining a strong workplace culture and effective Finance and Payroll functions. A Finance and Payroll Officer provides transactional finance services to the business, pay and conditions.
This role will involve closely working with an external Accountant and an external HR partner who can provide guidance and support at each stage of the process.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Provide Payroll advice and support on a wide range of HR and Payroll related matters including but not limited to policies, procedures, employment legislation, recruitment and selection, retention and change management.
Facilitate regular and open employee communication (face-to-face, over the phone and via email) and actively encourage employees to discuss payroll issues/concerns in the workplace.
Correctly process all staff payroll in accordance with applicable awards and standard accounting principles in a timely manner.
Ensure appropriate approvals for timesheets, leave forms and expense reimbursement by each Manager/Supervisor.
Finalise pay runs and upload payment batches to the bank or send to manager/finance where appropriate, including exporting of payroll journals on a weekly basis.
Maintain and update systems and procedures to direct the collection, calculation and entering of payroll data.
Work with the Management Team (including third-party vendors) to ensure security protocols are in place for payroll systems.
Maintain awareness of payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee salaries and wages data, including payroll taxes and other required reporting.
Ensure complete audit trails are maintained for all payroll processing.
Create and maintain personnel records including pay rates and other personal details of employees in company systems and personnel files.
Update and maintain leave records and entitlements for all employees in company system.
Liaise with external bodies such as the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), superannuation companies and unions regarding membership return, completion of applications and general enquiries.
Assist staff with general payroll related questions, leave accruals, wage deductions and other payroll related issues.
Keep up to date on regulatory developments that affect payroll, e.g. award changes, taxation, internal NPYWC policies etc.
Ensure all month-end payroll related reporting obligations are completed and submitted on time, including superannuation, union and child support payments.
Qleave reporting
Conduct regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger.
Working with the Company Accountant to complete End of Year Reporting.
Working with Senior Management to conduct Salary Reviews/Assessments as required.
Undertake other duties as required by Management as directed and as instructed.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, projects and financial tasks
Manage records and receipts
Reconcile transactions on a daily, monthly and yearly basis
Review client roster and issues invoices
Liaise with Team Supervisors/Management if invoices are not correct
Follow up with unpaid invoices if unpaid after 4 weeks
Pay outstanding invoices
Prepare balance invoice sheets/statements
Process invoices and quotes using accounting software
Provide customer services to clients, participants and staff via phone, email and face-to-face
Identify issues and provide details to Senior Management to assist in resolving financial disputes raised by stakeholders and sales teams
Act as a key point of contact for Finance/Accounts
Monitor Inclusive Support Services accounts that are overseen by qualified accountants and executives
Support qualified accountants with PAYG, payroll tax, BAS and GST within timeframes
Support payroll team to process wages, superannuation and child support payments
Support the Director with banking duties
Work closely with Management

Requirements:
2 years experience in finance, accounting, accounting practices or relevant field
Understanding of the NDIS funding model and SCHADS award (essential)
Experience with Xero Accounting Software is desirable
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
Demonstrated staff management and leadership skills
Ability to problem solve, think creatively and find innovative solutions
Paid Blue Card
Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Card
Australian Drivers Licence with own reliable vehicle and fully comprehensive car insurance
Smartphone with internet access

Advanced skills in working with disadvantaged client groups with complex needs including Mental Health, trauma, alcohol and other drug abuse, family and Domestic Violence, finances, housing and legal matters.
