Lead Council’s grants processes so funded projects are delivered on time, on budget and in line with funding agreements.

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, you’ll administer end-to-end grants processes, maintain the grants register, coordinate variations and acquittals, monitor compliance, and provide clear advice to internal stakeholders and external funding bodies.

Key responsibilities

Monitor grant funding programs for compliance; complete progress reports, variations and acquittals on time.

Maintain and reconcile the grants register, confirming delivery status, timing and claim milestones.

Advise on grant-related budgeting, ledger coding, statutory reporting and monthly status updates.

Guide officers on applications, status reports, claims and acquittals; liaise with State/Federal agencies.

Register and manage all grant documentation in Council’s records system.

Share funding opportunities internally and keep procedures/forms current on the intranet.

About you

Tertiary qualifications in finance, business or commerce (or equivalent experience).

Sound knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and budgeting.

Confident interpreting legislative/contractual documentation and applying it to business practice.

Analytical, proactive and exercise good judgement to meet business needs.

Strong communicator who builds effective relationships across all levels.

Organised, able to set priorities and meet deadlines independently.

Proficient with integrated financial systems, databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft 365.

Current Driver’s Licence - “C” class and alignment with Noosa Council’s SPARC values.
