UNIVERSITY STUDENTS STUDYING MARKETING/MEDIA AND RECENT GRADUATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY

GOAL College is a small, independent senior secondary school with a sport focus for Year 11 and 12 HSC students. We have campuses in Ultimo (city) and Sydney Olympic Park.

We’re not your average school. Sport is embedded in our curriculum, and students join a class with other students who love the same sport. Beyond their game, our HSC gives students the opportunity to explore career paths, make connections, build networking skills, and get ready for whatever future they choose.

If you love sport, you’ll love GOAL.

About Us

We’re looking for a dynamic, creative Content Creator to join our small team in the Ultimo (inner-city) school office. This is a highly hands-on role taking full responsibility for capturing the life and energy of the school and transforming it into compelling digital content.

You’ll be reporting to the Executive General Manager, and will be joining a small team with a good sense of humour. We value teamwork, your ability to work independently and take initiative, and a work-life balance.

About You

At GOAL College, we're driven by our mission to provide an exceptional education for every student. We're looking for someone who shares our passion and is excited to bring our story, and the stories of our students, to life across all social channels.

You are a social media native who instinctively understands what makes content engaging, and have a flair for making sport-related content. You'll be comfortable working autonomously to find the perfect shot or clip that captures the essence of a classroom, a practical session, or an event.

You are proactive, responsible, and can multitask and handle competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail. You're really organised and capable of developing a Content Calendar from scratch and adjusting it when needed. You’ll also be a capable communicator and be comfortable forming relationships with our office and teaching staff, and our friends at our digital marketing agency. Your ability to show initiative and help out in a small office environment will be highly valued.

Experience working in a similar content creation role, managing social media channels, or a relevant tertiary qualification is highly regarded, but demonstrable skill is most important. We are looking for someone who will be able to jump into the role and make it their own without missing a step.

You will be responsible for capturing content across classes at both of our campuses. It is essential that you hold a valid driver’s licence and access to a car, as many of our class activities are held offsite.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for acting as the "School Storyteller" across all digital platforms. This role is highly autonomous and requires excellent time management.

This role will have the following areas of responsibility:

Content Calendar Development: Proactively reviewing the school calendar, identifying key events and class activities, and developing a focused marketing content plan.

On-Site Filming and Photography: Capturing high-quality, organic photo and video content of student activities, classes, and events, both on and off campus.

Post-Production: Editing raw footage into platform-specific content, with a focus on fast-paced formats like Reels, TikToks, and Stories.

Social Media Management: Day-to-day management, posting and engagement across existing channels (Instagram, Facebook) and launching and growing our new TikTok presence.

Audience Growth: Implementing strategies focused on increasing followers, reach, and engagement across all school social media accounts.

Miscellaneous Administration: Assisting the broader administration team with tasks and other duties as required, to the level of the position.

The school office is staffed throughout school holiday periods. There may be occasional events outside of normal school hours.
